Jaesung Yoo

Jaesung studied Electrical Engineering and Brain and Cognitive Sciences at Korea University, where he found out that brains are also electric computers with wires made of protein instead of metal. He is currently a PhD student at UNC-Chapel Hill, co-advised by Kanaka and Adam Hantman. Jaesung is using Artificial Neural Networks to model neural population activity during behavior, an in silico model for medicine and AI. Outside thelab, he is a K-pop dancer, half-marathon runner, Duolingo fan, and cultural nomad.
