Satpreet Singh, PhD
Postdoctoral Fellow
Satpreet (Sat) Singh is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the lab. He works on artificial recurrent neural network "agents" that show emergent complex behaviors resembling model organisms in neuroscience. He is reverse engineering the aforementioned RNN-Agents to develop a mechanistic understanding of training dynamics and resulting emergent behaviors, neural dynamics, and neural connectivity. He is also broadly interested in applying machine learning and AI to neuroscience, biology, and medicine. He was previously a postdoc at the Baylor College of Medicine & Rice University, a Research Scientist at Meta, and a Data Scientist at LinkedIn, and earned his PhD from the University of Washington (Seattle) in between. He is on the job market (website).
